Anshu Mor

Anshu Devi, a dynamic force in the world of kabaddi, proudly represents Murthal Magnets in the JSG Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024. Born on February 12, 2004, in Ludana, Jind, Haryana, Anshu is the daughter of Satpal, a hardworking farmer, and Sudesh Devi, a dedicated homemaker. Growing up in Ludana with her two elder sisters, Swati and Mafi (a fellow kabaddi player at the University level), and a younger brother, Ankush, Anshu's journey in kabaddi commenced in 2018. Initially drawn to athletics, particularly running, Anshu's fitness prowess caught the attention of her coach, Jagbir Singh, who recommended she venture into kabaddi. Starting with circle kabaddi, Anshu swiftly transitioned to National Kabaddi, showcasing her innate talent as a Right Raider. Under the mentorship of coaches Jagbir Singh and Harpal Ghangas, she hones her skills at the Maharani Lakshmibai Girls Academy in Ludhiana. Anshu's favorite players, Naveen Kumar and Payal Choudhary, both international stalwarts, inspire her with Naveen's exceptional skills and Payal's unmatched speed in the game. With representations at School, College, District, State, Nationals, and University levels, Anshu's remarkable achievements include a Bronze at Khelo India University 2024 (Bhagatphool Singh Mahila Vishva Vidhyalaya), Gold at Senior National 2023 for Haryana against Himachal in a historic victory after 37 years, and a Silver at National Games 2024 (Haryana). Currently pursuing a College Graduation degree in BA (Final Year), Anshu aspires to don the Indian jersey and play for the country. Her dedication, combined with her exceptional skills, marks her as a rising star in the world of women's kabaddi.
